Last night I was invited over a friends house to play games. She also invited some young adults from her church to come as well. I was the only one reppin "Victory" and all of her other friends went to the same church. As I walked up to the door, all I could hear was them being loud. At any rate, what I came into was a mess.

These young adults consisted of choir members and worship leaders for that specific church. For the first 15 minutes of being there, all they did was imitate the way people shout and speak in tongues. Ok so back to what I was saying... they were talking about how God was really moving in the service and all of the choir members caught the Holy Ghost and started dancing and this person hit their head while they was shouting, etc.etc.
After that was over and they saw me looking at them like not pleased or amused , we went on to play some card games and taboo. During these games I just sat , observed and listened. These young adults who were talking about the Holy Spirit moving are now the same ones cussing and now talking about the people in the church and who are not saved.
I'm thinking to myself wow so this what they mean when they talk about the difference between RELIGION and RELATIONSHIP.
At first i felt really bad cause i felt as someone who has a relationship with God, that i should have said something or i felt as if i didn't just do my part ya know?

When I left, i started to get all these forwarded texts from my friend from her friends and they were apologizing for the way they was acting. I was talking to a good friend of mine about this and told her my concern, and I believe that God just wanted me to observe and listen, so I know exactly what to pray for. I kinda actually fell asleep without praying.

I agreed to do the 5AM club but I did not set my clocks or anything to wake up. THEN....

AT 5AM THIS MORNING...

God woke me up. And the following is exactly what went on at 5AM word for word...

I woke up for a second and went into praying. Its so important that we

understand the difference of Religion and Relationship. Its time for

God's chosen to stand bold and firm in His name. We have a will to be

done. There are people hurting that don't know God's love and

compassion and our light is to shine that men might see a glimpse of the

Power manifested in us through Jesus name. We have to stay connected

to him so that we don't lose sight of His Glory. We are a lost generation.

We must remember that we are not Worthy but he makes us Worthy. We

are not Righteous, but we are made the Righteousness of God because of

him. Father wake us up Lord. Let us feel conviction for the things we do.

Saturate us God with your presence and release your power over our

lives. God wants us to go posess the land but he is only gonna use his

equiped soldiers to go through the wilderness and If we don't stay

connected and stand on the Promises he has for us, then we are just as

lost. We are to be in this world and not of this world. Trust I know

that it is hard. My testimony is one of complexcity, but it is powerful

and I protect that with all my heart bc thru me people will see God's

power manifested and the annointing that will flow through me will be so

strong where people will be simultaneously set free from the Sin that is

taking them down. There is nothing that someone can tell me that I

haven't heard or experienced before , but I also know that I have been

redeemed and I know that God took the same shameful sin that had me

bound and cleaned it and now I use it to win people for his kingdom. God

will no longer tolerate Religious people. If your relationship is not

right then he will say "Depart from me I never knew you"... God shake us

and fill us with wisdom and use your wisdom through us like Solomon but

let us always reverance and worship you, putting no one or nothing

before you. Its time for the church to rise up and stop playing church.

We are a chosen generation, but yet still so lost. We are dumb sheep,

but we have an almighty Sheperd. God keep us in your perfect peace. I

plead the blood of Jesus over our lives right now. God restore us and

save us. We are called men and women of God, I bind those lies that

satan tries to settle in our minds right now in the name of Jesus. God,

better is 1 day in your courts, than thousands elsewhere. Father let us

decrease so that you may increase in our lives. I stand firm in what I

believe and I know that when we tap into the flow of the Holy Spirit ,

its then God uses us and moves in a mighty way. We need to Fear the

Lord, instead of using His own words against him. The Lord is like a

father to his children, tender and compassionate to those who fear Him.

Praise God, wow Shane!!! I think it all starts with the Fear of the Lord. Thats one of my 5am encounters that the Lord showed me. Shane thats really encouraging of your encounter with the Lord at 5AM.

Anybody enjoy being shown a vision from the lord? I have one that I think about in the mornings that helps me with being in the right frame of mind before prayer....

I find myself looking down a sidewalk with people lined up on either side...These are people from my daily life: co-workers, friends, family, spouse, the average stranger, and so on...People I am sure to come into contact with during the course of the day whether I know it or not. However, there is something tricky about this sidewalk; it is covered in tar. Through prayer, we have the opportunity to have God clear the tar from the path that we will walk, thereby opening clear opportunities to minister to others, communicate His love for one another, and be a blessing to others.

This vision shows me that when we choose to walk in the will of God, we can make things harder for ourselves by not praying that He would prepare the way for us. If we try to go through the day on our own strength, we will miss out on opportunities and feel like we cannot get through to people, no matter how hard we try. In any case, we will have to call on the strengths that God has birthed in us, as life is not meant to be lived on auto pilot.

Lord, I pray for the people that I will interact with today. Prepare the way for me as I carry the cross of Jesus in love with the new life that He has given me. May I not go weary, slip and fall, or get stuck in the tar of life by trying to do things on my own strength. Birth in me stronger levels of compassion for the situations of others, and the leadership to show them where you would like them to be. Humble me Lord to submit to those you have placed in authority over my earthly life, that I may show greater levels of servanthood. In Jesus name, Amen.

Thanks for sharing that!!! I truely am convinced that if your first of the time is to the Lord that God puts the 1+1=2 together for. You begin to see more clearly. And that the Lord will show you things that may seem so simple to understand and makes sense! (You may even think what have I been doing this entire time?) You start having Kingdom priorities!

What is the significance of praying so early I normally pray so early because I'm leaving for my clinical (class) but I heard pastor colleen mentioned 5 AM prayer.
