So, of course I don't feel equipped to lead but here goes:) Since the consensus is just discussing any books we are reading right now for the first meeting, how about planning to meet this Friday. Veronica is that ok with you? What time would be a good time? Maybe everyone could bring some type of snack or maybe we could have volunteers for each meeting? Suggestions? Also, during the first meeting it might be a good idea to suggest and vote for a book for everyone to read and then meet and discuss that book at the next get together. What do you guys think?

I didn't want to admit it...but I also fall in the "nerd" category. I wanna join in, but I haven't made time to read. I'll be joining in once you guys decide on a book. And the Sandy Springs area sounds delicious...

And don't stone the messenger... this just got downloaded to me.

We had a book club that actually discussed books of the bible. It amazes me sometimes how some Christians have time to read gossip mags and randomness, but not the bible which they say they believe in completely and base their lives on. You don't even know what's in it - COME ON!

Okay. I'm not directing this at you nerds - I'm just making a statement.

Okay. Back to your regularly scheduled program. Sorry.

Im down for that I just got done reading Esther and I would love to discuss it with other people and Im also wanting to study Numbers because I have been getting this thing lately about doing a consecration like the Nazrites, so hey that is a great idea too. Let me add this is a once a month thing right Latasha lol

Fridays sound great to me. As far as time, what about 7:30pm? That should give everyone enough time to get off work and get settled. I am up for studying books of the Bible as well. As far as snacks, who would like to volunteer? I will make sure to provide the coffee.

During our first meeting, we can discuss what book we plan to study and also how many times a month we would like to meet. I am very excited about this!!

As a suggestion, why don't we all come up with a list of books we would like to read and share them on Friday. Then we can choose 12, one for each month of the year. We could have a mixture of studies, from books of the Bible, to fiction, to drama, etc...

Bring your ideas!! Can't wait!! :wink:
