So, got any thoughts so far on what we've been talking about in the series?

Loved the message! And I love that you spoke about Joseph. That is my favorite bible story. I never really put any thought into that it constatnly said "and the Lord was with Joseph" That is pretty cool. Keep it coming. Loving it!

This new series is nothing like all that we have done before in Fusion since I've been coming...
Usually, because it's Summer, I expect something lighter and "fun," but this has been solemn in a way.
I find myself quiet listening (and frantically taking notes), instead of distracted with anything else. I think that this is definitely something God wants to make clear to us, that He is ALWAYS here, even when we really don't feel Him anywhere. He is a personal God, and He cares about the details. So many of us seem OK, because we choose to not think about whatever has happened in our lives that really messed up our faith. We go around avoiding it, and hiding it in out hearts, considering it something too stupid (or too serious) too talk about. But God wants all of us. He wants us to know Him. And this series is really stirring me up.
My father left my family recently, and he has completely strayed away from God and is in Brazil (where we're from, not a random country he chose or something) right now. He is a completely different person. He used to serve with the children's ministry; and always insist on FAMILY. Now, I can't even recognize him by what he says on the phone. It's very hard. Especially because we have been Christian for most of my life, and my sister, mother and I prayed soooo much before he left. For restoration, for peace in His heart, for a renewal of God, for EVERYTHING other than his leaving. yet we come home one day and there's a message from the Miami airport.
Can you say heartbreak? Yeah, well I can.
Things have not been going well over the months, (he left in November 2007), but I have faith that God will make His name known and show that He is a God of restoring families, Who does not give up on families.
However, there is always that still question, "But why did God let him leave??"

Like I said, this series is messing me up, in a good way. Thanks for taking this risk, and preaching this serious message over us. It is no doubt completely of God.
Can't wait for the next Wednesdays!

I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. Not everything that happens is good, but God is at work behind the scenes here. Keep praying for you dad & don't give up. Fast for him. Intercede for him. Resist every urge to get angry at him. Keep running to the One who is consumed with love for you.

God is stretching all of us through this series. I've never really wrestled like this before. It's healthy... but breaking me down. Come on Jesus!

Are you going to upload the first two messages to the Fusion site? There is a non-Christian at work that I have been talking to about things and I would really like for him to hear these messages..............plus I missed last week so I need to catch up as well.
