NOOMA 009 :: Bullhorn

Another way for the people in your group to talk with one another!

NOOMA 009 :: Bullhorn

Postby tai on Tue May 06, 2008 5:18 pm

So Sunday night we talked about how loving others is directly related to how we love God.

At some point in our lives, we have all been the bullhorn guy: condemning, judgemental, insincere, defensive.

Most of us, if not all of us, have also been on the other side of that bullhorn.

Something Rob Bell said really stuck with me: "When did so few begin to speak for so many?"

We may not agree with the bullhorn guy, but are we preaching a different gospel by being the hands, feet, and love of Jesus Christ?

So here are a few questions I want to throw out there for some healthy discussion.

1. What does your faith speak to other people?

2. What action steps will you be taking to not let someone else (with a bullhorn) speak for you?

Mr. Nate brought up something very interesting in group: he spoke of bullhorn-type crusades back in Africa and how he actually saw one work. So this got me thinking: can the bullhorn work in some countries and not in others? Diff countries have diff cultures so what might be considered evangelistic suicide here, might be effective somewhere else.
