Ok!!!

I would like to get some feedback on this video. First I love the song cause the beat is hot and its catchy. We all know over the years Kirk Franklin has done some outlandish stuff and it seems to work for his ministry.

Basically the video storyline is the battle of good against evil from what I gather. The concept is hot , but I want to know what you guys feel about it. Im kinda stuck on the whole flexing muscles and oil me down body look in the video. So do you feel that the video is onpoint as in delivering the message without conforming to what alot of the secular artists are putting out in their videos or do you feel as if the message was clearly delivered without confusion.

This battle or shall i say debate , has been going on in the church for along time in regards to the conforming of gospel or christian bands conforming to secular ways.

What do you guys feel about this topic?

Cool song...not necessarily my style...but still a good song.

I think the song is about good vs. evil...but it also seems like the video is implying that he is fighting against himself in so much of this (b/c...ummm...he's fighting against himself in the video!)...which is where a lot of our battle is. Kind of like he's telling himself "this is it"...it has to change.

Now about the muscles...I'm sure he didn't mind that he was ripped & was going to show them off in his video. That's human nature...notice I didn't say "God nature." That's human nature. It probably would have been more fitting for him to be fighting his old self and his old self wasn't wearing a shirt while his new self was! Ha! A little more humble!

The whole "conforming" thing is a different subject for me. I think the truth is the truth is the truth. It does not change...but the way you speak it & tell it & convey has to change. There's a line somewhere in there I think...like no strippers in your video! But I think you can tell the story of Christ without saying His name. Jesus told the whole story of the Good Samaritan without saying anything about God. The way we live our life & the way we tell our stories & what we think on and do can tell the world about Jesus just as much as our words. I don't think it's a conforming thing or an ashamed of the gospel thing for a lot of people...it's "What way can I best tell/show the Gospel to people in today's society?"

There's my 2 cents.

l don't think that the whole flexing muscles and oil me down body look was neccessary personally b/c l understand that he could have been fighting his past, but if one was dressed as the new person n the other in his old self then to me it would have been like oh l get it n l see were his coming from. But l could be wrong just my thoughts.....

The song has a positive message. >>>the beat is tight

The theme is boxing - "a fight", I agree life is a fight for that, which God has for us to live. The enemy is often strengthened and enabled by ourselves. Anywho the comforming issue is subjective. There were a few issues that didn't agree with me. > for example how the dude was strengthened by the visit of the girl. I thought they could have made God the subject of that.
To each his own I guess.

Okay ummm the song had no context and I didnt get it because the gospel was left out in my opinion. And the video was wigdey wigdey wack!
A generation relentlessly going after GOD in intimacy through prayer.
