I have bought them before and did not have any problems. I lately have been reading a lot of negative articles regarding them which makes me think they are not such a good idea.

I am thinking I am going to have to buy 4 tires soon as my tred is starting to go and figured used tires would be an inexpensive fix. I don't have much money to work with regarding getting my tires taken care off.

Does anyone have any info on this that might be helpful here?

Your best bet for used tires.. is to know the techs at the shop you will get them at. Typically, when someone upgrades their wheels from factory ones its a good used set to get. The ones with good thread usually have not had plugs or anything that might cause them to not function well. Just stay away from brands that you know will not last long or are low quality.

And if you don't know the techs, you can look at the tires yourself or have someone who knows what they are looking for give the tires an inspection before you purchase them.
