I believe that some things don't need to be said in order to be understood.
I think that goes the same with God.
He doesn't always need to be speaking in order to be communicating.
I do believe that He is always watching over us, but sometimes He may need to remain audibly silent in order for us to learn by experience.
And I agree with Iserve:
"We want the answer to come in a specific form. But the truth is we can not control how God answers us. The way He does answer is ultimately a part of what's best for our growth."
Because really, think about it. I'm sure we are not the first to ever ask God a particular question. He's probably had to answer it a million times to a million people already. But He loves us so much, He knows how we all learn best so He caters to our needs by giving us His answer in a form relevant to our lives.
Also, could it be that He sometimes gives us an answer before we can even ask the question? I don't know about you guys, but sometimes I find a verse that really speaks out to me or observe a scenario and kind of make my mind up about a situation/debate/conflict/issue/etc. Then, when it happens to me I don't even have to ask God what I should do about it, I already know.
I guess it's by learning from other people's mistakes instead of my own.
God is VERY creative. He can be speaking when we don't even realize it.
At least that's my take.
Thoughts?
