I'm not 100% sure that I will answer any of these questions, but I think the word "race" is misleading. From the common and simplest understanding, we say it's skin color. However, I beg to differ on the opinion that there is a such thing as race(if I'm wrong that's fine this just an opinion). I don't think that there are mutiple races of people. Scientifically speaking, we all belong to the same species. I never heard of anyone calling a dog, cat, bird, or monkey for that matter any thing other than a particular species or breed. Does race exists, is it real? Yes, because we created it as a way to differentiate and relate to groups of people.
I don't think race is biblical concept. The only thing I can recall that really differentiates people in the bible was from the Jew/Gentile point of view, Samaritans, or by nation/tribe and oh yeah Giants . I'm not sure if during the tower of babel skin color changed. Really, the only thing I know explicitly stated was the creation of different languages. It's possible that it happened, but I don't think that it did, I'm pretty sure that would have been mentioned, b/c that would have been some extremely supernatural stuff on top of the fact that all of sudden everyone is speaking a different language.
Genetically speaking, the difference in so called races is .1%(based on random testing of individuals)
I don't think anyone holds on to their race's vestiges...more like culture and social teachings, but yeah I sometimes do and other times I don't.
