Hey all. Thought it was about time to start a new topic. Where is everyone!!!!???? It can't just be me and Shane on here anymore.

Community members, come out come out wherever you are! I have some yummy brownies for you to eat!

Okay... here's a really cool video I want everyone to watch. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Also - it's almost time for our first "outside the walls of the church" experience. Anybody have any ideas? I know what we'd like to do, but I'd love to hear what you guys have to say.

Love you all and hope to see you in group this week - I promise I'm going to try and make it... being pregnant and sleepy is very, very hard. ;)

Love
Dede

Hey Dede... im here too. Lol

Well guys, I am going to do my best to make it to group this weekend but I cannot make any promises. Friday is my surgery and I have to make sure everything is settled at home, etc... I will make sure to keep everyone posted and I am no longer nervous because I know that the doctors are not going to be the ones operating on me, God will be! I have to be at the hospital @ 9am and the surgery should begin by 11am. It's an outpatient surgery so I should be released that afternoon after I wake up and they load me up on paid meds... So please keep me in your prayers!

Hey all - man, if you missed group last night you need to ask somebody about it. I heard the men were all in each other's junk just like the men of the synagogues used to be in Jesus's day debating the word.

WOW!

But the ladies were getting some true revelation also. Like... some serious bald headed, sack cloth wearing revelation. It was a GREAT night.

We WON'T be meeting this coming Thursday - it's our off week. But look for details about our first meeting in May...

For those of us who go to Victory, it just amazes me about how the message this weekend and the series we will be in fits exactly in line with our group and some of the things people have shared. Our goal is not to just spit scriptures at people and tell them what to do and then expect them to know Christ. We have to build relationships with people and talk to them, *ask them questions* and *listen* to them.

I was thinking aside from the group outreach that we do, I think it would be cool if we pick someone in our lives (if we have someone) that we can just begin to get to know that's not Christian, and be able to share that journey, what works and what doesn't, in group as well.

Come on - that's what's up.

Good idea Stephanie... I think this is definitely something to challenge us even more in our walks.

Hey all!! I really missed you guys on Thursday. I was actually in Nashville at the Mercy Ministries 25th. anniversary. If you don't know what Mercy Ministries is check it out at

www.mercyministries.com

It is a great ministry (I went there) :D

So answering your question as to what we would like to do. I would love to go into the psych wards of a hospital and just hang out with some of the people there. It is crazy in there, but they need Jesus so much. This is something that I am just so passionate about. I know the names of serveral of the hospitals, and I would love to go in to the visiting hours and just ask for some of the people that do not have a visitor and just take them and maybe play some card games or something like that with them, or just talk. Just give them hope and let them know they are loved and thought about, and not forgotten. Amen. Be Jesus to the ones who are in major bondage by the enemy in their minds!!! Go God!! Let me know what you guys think of that. Love you guys and miss you!

Kelly,
I would love to do this. Another idea that I have been thinking of for quite some time now is visiting the children's cancer unit. A lot of the parents that are there day and night with these children sometimes loose hope and become depressed because of the current circumstances that they and their children are currently in. It is extremely easy to get sidetracked when you have loved ones that are in such pain and might even die. However we need to be there for those people that need someone to talk to. We can use those opportunities to witness and be of encouragement to them and share with them the love of God.

Just an idea.

That is a great idea. And even to be there to play with the children too to help get their mind off of their pain/circumstance. Im there with ya girl!! Great idea. Isn't it neat how people in the body of Christ can come together and work together on their passions and that is how the world gets to meet Jesus. Praise God.

Hey, I am working on that right now. I am getting my foot in the door. I have been working with a girl over at Ridgeview Institute. It is pretty amazing. It may be hard, but with God anything is possible. Even going in to a government facility where they only speak of their "higher power" and sharing the love of CHRIST the only higher power to His people. Go God!! Im excited. Ill let you know more later.

Kelly:

I think I might be able to get you some good contacts for Ridgeview. My cousin was hospitalized there for some time and I believe my aunt still keeps in touch with them.

I am also trying to find out what the regulations are for being able to visit at the children's cancer center. As soon as I get some information, I will let you guys know and hopefully we will be able to get started on these ideas!! I am soooo pumped up!!!

Hello everyone. Today is the National Day of Prayer, the one day the most of the nation even remembers there is a God and we ought to pray to Him. While there is nothing extra powerful about this day... all of us joining with one voice, together is indeed powerful. So... Wherever you are, whenever you can... lift your eyes up unto the Lord and seek His face.

P.S. - If you are available.... Victory will be hosting a corporate prayer time. Here are the details:

"Joining with the tens of millions who will be interceding for our nation on this day, Victory will be holding a mid-day prayer service at the foot of the cross, located at the west end of our main parking lot."

When: Thursday, May 1st
Time: 12:30-1:15pm

Okay.. about last night's cookout. I heard you all played on of my most FAVORITE games in the world - Mafia. And I'm a little hurt by that since I haven't been able to get a group of people to play since back in 2003.

I heard you all had a good time though. Sorry I wasn't there - I'm exhausted, and rather than risk damaging my health I went to bed last night at 6:15pm :)
