Thursday Nights with the Nesbitts - The Remedy

Another way for the people in your group to talk with one another!

Postby DNes on Thu Mar 06, 2008 10:12 pm

Okay all - tonight was so much fun.

Laser tag wore some people out.. I mean - people were heaving when they came out of "combat." AWESOME! Then Mozart Cafe was so nice.. I'm really glad we all got to experience it together - such a sweet little shop with some great and some strange food (the meat and veggie donut).

But overall - tonight was definitely a major plus. Now that we know each other more than "hey we're in the same group" we are ready to really dig into one another's lives.

Please remember to continue to meditate on Isaiah 54:4 and Solomon 8:5. Ask God to speak to you about these scriptures. This will continue to be our launching pad for our meetings.

I can't wait for everything God is going to reveal during our times together... I'm super, duper stoked!

Love you all!

OK! The Laser Tag was off the chain. I must say... Some of you impressed me; impressed me very much. There is much skill here. But yours truly... (that's me) did get the highest score. I know.. I know.. That's boasting! You know the Word says; "Let him who boasts boast in the Lord." So... "Man, the Lord sure did help me to put the smack down on some folks last night! What... what!"

Image

And I have to give a shot out to my Blue Team. We were like the Swat Team of Laser Tag! It was awesome...

Well, that's over and the real deal is about to start. The Lord has brought us together for such a time as this and we are going to shake the gates of Hell... together. Ditto to what Dede said about the scriptures. So, come and come ready to be free. It may not be in one night but it will be.

I thank God for all of you and can't wait to see you again.

I'm glad that I came out to fellowship. I made time for the community and indeed it was worth it all. Major shout out to the blue team. We made it happen in that second game. Now, I'm not too sure about the exotic pastry I tried to eat at Mozart Cafe' after the game. That vegetable and beef donut was a little too much for my taste buds. :)

LOL! Nobody did. Several people warned me not to get it but nooooo, I just had to experiment. I learnt my lesson. That's what community is all about. :)

Okay ya'll.... I don't know about anyone else - but last night was so special. I loved wathcing everyone as they got their name blessings... your faces said it all.

So... how are you feeling this morning knowing your tru identity? Last night when I was sharing it was like a flood hit me again - this is who I am... joyful. Even right now, though I don't have anything nearly as painful happening in my life as I did back in the day.. it's still a very powerful call to be more than what I think I can be, or even settling for "average."

I’d love to hear someone talk about their identity from last night. I know I have been blessed every since I received mine. How has it bless you?

Surgery

Postby vlarkin on Mon Mar 17, 2008 12:09 pm

Hi Guys!
Last week I started noticing a growth (abscess) on my lower back. I went to the doctor on Tuesday to have it checked and they told me that if the abscess continued to grow it would need to be removed. Well, it grew and grew and got infected. The pain is beyond description. Yesterday morning, I woke up at about 4am because I was in soooo much pain . My husband rushed me to the emergency room where they decided to drain the abscess (very, very painful procedure... the whole er heard my screams) to relieve the pressure on my lower back. The doctors told me that I would definitely need surgery as soon as possible to get this growth removed. I have an appt tomorrow to see a surgeon and get a date for surgery. Ever since yesterday's procedure, I feel much better but I am still in pain. Please pray for me as I am not very excited about surgery or pain, and also for a speedy recovery. I will keep you guys updated.
